Pseudomonarchia daemonum - Johann Wier (1583) (quoted) Botis, otherwise Otis, a great president and an earle he commeth foorth in the shape of an ouglie [lit. 'worst'] viper, and if he put on humane shape, he sheweth great teeth, and two hornes, carrieng a sharpe sword in his hand: he giveth answers of things present, past, and to come, and reconcileth friends, and foes, ruling sixtie legions.
