For a general A-Z reference guide to angels and demons, Davidson's Dictionary of Angels is pretty comprehensive. Many of these kinds of books contain so little information that they are relatively useless, but Davidson's book actually provides a detailed list of references, alternative spellings, and a large list of deities to pick and choose from. If you're going to get one reference book, this is the best I've seen.
Having said that, it's still an A-Z guide, and it doesn't list passages, meaning if you want to see for yourself the term in its context, you'll find yourself hunting down obscure references. Many of the entries are quite short. However, they should provide you with at least something to start out with.
